Happy Holidays

Day 38.  Here is Rylee from the top, she was in the process of moving around so she is a little wrinkly :)
 Definitely no tuck up left

Week Six (days 36-42)
DEVELOPMENT OF THE PUPPIES:
Development of skin pigment
Fetuses should be almost 2 inches!
Fetal heartbeats can be heard with a stethoscope
CHANGES TO THE MOMMY:
Nipples darken and enlarge
Abdomen continues to enlarge
Rylee is definitely hungry but is the slowest eater I have ever seen.  Always has been.  She actually chews and swallows each bite, as if savoring it.  Rylee starts eating before my other two and both of them finish their food before her, go outside and potty, come in and watch while she finishes the other half of her bowl.  Unusual rigeback :)

A month in

Today is day 30 for Miss Rylee.  33 more days to go so we are basically at the halfway point.  She is starting to lose her waist and her tuck up is going.  She is eating 5 cups a day.  Her usual is 3 cups.

Rylee in 2009 winning her first major :) I was so proud!

Losing her waist.  She will get it back though, she is an active girl and can't wait to dive into agility ... that's what she is telling me ;)  We have to catch her sisters and earn her VC!

Rylee free stacking at one month pregnant.  She's still got it.  Maybe we will go back for her GCH too.  We have alot to do!

Puppies confirmed!

Yay, yay, yay! We have puppies :)  Doctor counted about 7 pups in there.  There could be more but we will have to wait until her x ray, when the final count will be done.  I am excited we have babies :)

Rylee in the car on the way to the doctor.  My regular vet doesn't provide reproductive services so we travel to Ohio for our repro services.  It is about 2.5 hours one way so I want Rylee to be comfortable :)
The outside of the vet office.
The waiting area.  Rylee loves the fish tank on the left.
Rylee in the waiting room.  She looks like she is ready for a nap!
 The ultrasound machine.
Rylee hears someone coming down the hall.
 The doctor checking for pups.
Hard to see because I was sitting on the floor but the black area are two puppies.
A printout showing two puppies.  They are the little black circles :)

Rylee is now changing over to puppy formula food and is receiving some supplements, vitamins, provided by the vet.  She is definitely eating more and has already gained 2 pounds.  She is showing just a tiny bit but it isn't that noticeable to most people.  Right now she is sleeping on the couch :)

Upcoming ultrasound

Right around this time the little embryos are attaching to their sites in the uterus.  Ultrasound is appropriate around day 23-25 after ovulation so I will be taking her in next week.  I am very excited and hoping to see little puppies in there.  Paws crossed!

Rylee x Dallas

Rylee came into season on November 7.  Her first progesterone test on November 11 was 0.6.  The second test on November 16 was 1.5.  Her third test on November 19 was 6.2 indicating that she most likely ovulated on Friday.  I attempted a breeding on Sunday night but there wasn't a tie.  Monday and Tuesday breedings resulted in a tie.  If the breeding is successful, puppies will be born around January 20th.
Rylee was so sweet and managed to time everything so that Thanksgiving was spent at home with family and not running around like crazy :)

Abundant energy

I wish I had an entire room to dedicate to the puppies but we are limited in our house.  They do have some pretty nice digs as far as expens are concerned but they are quickly outgrowing it.  They have the zoomies and tear around the space.  I get them outside as much as I can and they wear themselves out and then take naps and are ready to go again.  Oh if only I could bottle that energy.  The web cam is down for right now because I had to divide the area into two in order for Koda (yellow) to have her own space.  She had surgery on Monday and needs to be separated from the rest of the litter so she can heal :) She is doing great! I can't arrange the cam in a way to show anything productive but I am working on it.
Here are a few pics from playing today (battery died while outside, boo):

Good times

It has been really hot here so we play in the house or the garage until it is cooler in the evenings.  Here they are in the yard this evening.
