Vet visit

Puppies went to the vet today for their exam and first shots.  They loved it and all the staff gushed over them.  Weights at the vet today:
Vidic (red): 15lbs 1oz
Purple: 13lbs 3oz
Pink: 14lbs 1oz
Koda (yellow): 14lbs 14oz
Rowan (blue): 16lbs 3oz

All were found to be healthy and in great shape.  And they didn't even notice the needle ... they were plied with food :)

Abundant energy

I wish I had an entire room to dedicate to the puppies but we are limited in our house.  They do have some pretty nice digs as far as expens are concerned but they are quickly outgrowing it.  They have the zoomies and tear around the space.  I get them outside as much as I can and they wear themselves out and then take naps and are ready to go again.  Oh if only I could bottle that energy.  The web cam is down for right now because I had to divide the area into two in order for Koda (yellow) to have her own space.  She had surgery on Monday and needs to be separated from the rest of the litter so she can heal :) She is doing great! I can't arrange the cam in a way to show anything productive but I am working on it.

Good times

It has been really hot here so we play in the house or the garage until it is cooler in the evenings.  Here they are in the yard this evening.

6 weeks

The puppies are doing great.  They are all eating well, playing hard, and meeting new things and people with enthusiasm. 

Weights at 6 weeks:
Vidic (red): 12lbs 4 oz
Purple: 9lbs 11oz
Pink: 11lbs 4 oz
Koda (yellow): 10 lbs 2oz
Rowan (blue): 11lbs 3oz

New setup

I rearranged the ex pen today so you may not see the pups while they are sleeping.  I moved things so that the potty area is more defined.  Hopefully this will help them in their paper training.  They are doing pretty well with it and most of them get it, most of the time.  They are good when I take them outside after meals.

New encounters

Puppies are meeting new people and new things each day ...

It was a hot day so I brought out a baby pool.  They loved digging in the dirt and then stepping in the water.

These puppies are awesome.  All appear to have clean movement and naturally stand well.  They seem to be nicely balanced.  And they all have wonderful personalities.  Koda (yellow) is miss adventurous.  She is the first one to investigate anything.  Rowan (blue) is mr. chill, likes to hang back, watch the action and then jump in when the time is right.  Vidic (red) is definitely food motivated and is a snuggle bunny.  Pink and purple are like two peas in a pod, laid back girls that like to play and cuddle.  I love these babies :)
