Tummies

I took the stacked shots but I haven't had time to upload them.  I will get around to it soon ... it's been crazy here with the puppies having upset tummies.  I talked to the vet and every test was negative.  Negative for parvo, parasites, coccidia ... nothing. Not really sure what is causing the loose stools. They are getting better each day though. They have been fine on the food since I weaned them around 3 weeks but they could be getting too much so I am cutting back a meal to see how they do.  They will eat 3x a day now.  They are all gaining weights and looking good.

Orange girl: 110.2 oz (6.9 lbs)
You can see they are actually close in weights.

We went outside for a little while today but they thought it was cold and wanted to come in after about 30 min.  I didn't think it was bad, I didn't even need a jacket.  They will get used to it :)

5 weeks old

Time is racing by!  I haven't taken their stacked pictures or head shots yet but I will get to that this evening and post them tonight or tomorrow. 
The puppies started to get a little loose with their stools around Thurs and since puppies can get dehydrated quite quickly, when it was still around Friday, I called my vet.  I went in on Saturday.  I brought one puppy with me as representation of the litter and she checked him over and said he looks great.  Great coat, eyes, ears, gums, no dehydration. 
They were dewormed by me at 4 weeks with pyrantel and my vet gave me some Albon to give to them by mouth syringe for 10 days.  They are eating, drinking and playing so they are doing great except for some loose stool. 
I am going to wait on visitors until they are back on track. 
They did go outside and play today and I have videos.  It was cold for them, around 45 degrees so we weren't out too long.  I need a little coat for each of them, haha.  The baby pool was something for them to play in and crawl around.  I have a tunnel on the way!

This week I have had three of my neighbors stop by to see the puppies.  One of them has a 4 year old daughter who was quite intriguing to the puppies.

Stacking session 4 weeks

I stacked the puppies for the first time today.  They did quite well! They will get more comfortable the more they do it and they will develop and change over the next 4 weeks quite a bit.

4 weeks old

A month old now! Just one more month and then they go to their new homes!
I took their weights today and there is a little variation but they should start balancing out.  The smaller ones, red, green, black didn't want to wean as easily and held out as long as they could.  Mama's boys.  They are getting into the gruel now :)

The puppies had their first visitors this weekend and they loved meeting new people.  I know, they told me.  Gaby with her boy, Briggs (green). 

I have neighbors coming over this week, which will include kids!

Today was their first outside trip and they were like, whoa, cold and then they started exploring.  I was glad for the sun and drier ground!

We've moved!

Today I moved the puppies into the dining room area of our kitchen.  They are in a large expen complete with a crate, potty area, play area and sleep area.  They have plenty of space to run around!  I did set up the webcam but I made the area quite large and you can't see much of anything and I am not sure where to focus it .... They spread out now and you can't see everyone at once.  I will think about it but for now, I will take pictures. 

We are taking over!

Well the whelping box is officially theirs! They roam around it like crazy.  I took down the pig rails for more space and Rylee isn't nursing them much and they can move just fine around her.  Rylee nurses maybe twice a day now and they are eating gruel 4 times a day.  They are still a little eh about it but should get more enthused.  I am going to move them down into the expen this weekend so they have more room to run around and play.  I like Rylee to have the access to them right now and it's harder when they are in the pen.  She can only go in when I open the door in that case.
