They can really sense when mommy is around and go crazy! Rogue is being a good big sister and is very gentle with the puppies. I normally have the room gated off from Dexter and Rogue but I have been letting them in more and more to interact. Uncle Dexter (he is an actual uncle to this litter because Dallas is his half brother) just kind of listens in while Rogue wants to play mommy. She licks them and noses them around. She is sweet. She is a good half-sister. Rylee would rather Rogue take over sometimes I'm guessing, ha. Rogue is wearing the flower collar in the video. You can even see little blue boy back up to use the potty, hahah. Modest. I cleaned up after this and then had Ry nurse. One thing about them going on their own now, more laundry each day :)

2 weeks
Babes are two weeks old today. Everyone's eyes are open and they can hear somewhat. I made a few loud noises today and they startled. During the next week, they are in a transitional period and there is a rapid development of motor skills, the ability to eliminate on their own (which they do quite well already ), usable vision (around day 18-21) and emergence of teeth. I will be weaning them most likely at the end of this week because Rylee is already falling away in her enthusiasm to nurse and once teeth emerge, forget it. I will try to have them nurse as long as Ry will tolerate. They will be weaned onto a milk replacer mixed with very fine ground up Holistic Select Giant Breed puppy. They will begin to act more like little dogs now.
